How to Plan for 2026 Without Limiting What God Can Do

By now, you’ve probably taken some time to plan for 2026. Maybe you joined a planning session, mapped out launches, or started outlining goals and timelines for the year ahead. Planning is wise. Strategy matters. I love structure, research, and intentional planning, and I spend a lot of my time helping women do exactly that.

But there’s something I keep noticing, both in my own planning and in almost every planning conversation happening online right now.

Most plans leave no space for the impossible.
No space for the unpredictable.
No space for what God may want to do beyond what we can see.

And that’s what I want to talk about today.

Why Planning Alone Is Not Enough

One of the biggest lessons this past year taught me is that God’s plans for my life have always been bigger than anything I could have planned on my own. When I look back, the most meaningful moments were never part of my original strategy.

I once dreamed of coming to the United States for just three months to study English. That plan turned into almost twelve years, an MBA opportunity, meeting my husband, and building a family. After more than ten years in corporate, I dreamed of freelancing for one year so I could stay home with my daughter. God turned that into a business I’ve been building for over six years now.

And this year, during my own planning session, I had a moment of clarity I’ll never forget. As I reflected month by month, I realized the biggest things that happened in my life were not planned by me at all. My trip to New York. My call to Christianity. My relationship with Jesus. This podcast. If you had told me a year ago that I would be launching a podcast centered on my gifts and faith, I would have said absolutely not.

And yet, here we are.

How to Plan for 2026 with Faith and Openness

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t plan. It means you should plan with open hands.

When you map out 2026, I want you to ask more than just what you want to accomplish. Ask who you want to become. Ask what kind of space you need to create for growth you cannot predict yet.

White space in your calendar is not a lack of discipline. It is an act of faith. It allows room for God to move in ways you could never schedule.

As you reflect on 2025, pay attention to what surprised you. Look at what came out of nowhere. Those moments are clues. They show you how God tends to move in your life, and they can guide how you plan for the future.

When you set goals for 2026, hold them loosely enough that God can expand them. You may be planning a course, and God may turn it into something bigger. You may be planning one season, and God may turn it into a long-term assignment.

Planning doesn’t limit God, but rigid planning can.

Moving Forward with Trust and Intention

As you plan for 2026, I encourage you to dream, strategize, and set yourself up for success, while staying open to the possibility that God may take your plans to a level you cannot yet imagine.

If He expanded every dream you trusted Him with before, He can do it again.

And if you would like support as you think through your offers or launches for 2026, I would love to connect with you.
